Often the first trip to a sushi restaurant turns into fun. Unable to cope with the intricate cutlery, exotic lovers drop their food, and failing to bring it to their mouths. If you don’t want to experience this kind of joy, learn how to hold the sticks correctly.

Instruction manual
1
Place your hand parallel to the surface of the table, palm facing you. Take the first stick. You must hold it with your thumb and ring fingers. Press the top of the stick with your thumb to the edge of the brush at the base of the index finger.
2
Put the lower part of the stick on the second phalanx of the ring finger (on its side). In this case, the thumb should be parallel to the edge of the palm, otherwise you will not be able to sufficiently relax the rest of the hand. In this position, the first stick should be firmly fixed, it remains almost motionless.
3
Try, without releasing the wand, move your index and middle fingers. This should happen without effort and without loss of stability of the stick. If movement is not easy, move the stick up or down to make sure that the thumb is positioned correctly.
4
Hold the second stick between the index and middle fingers. With the tip of your thumb, press the stick to the second phalanx of the index, and with the tip of the index - to the base of the upper phalanx of the middle finger (to the side). In order to capture a piece of food, it is necessary to move it with the upper stick.
note
Practice the art of holding chopsticks on a portion of sushi without sauce - if anything falls, then at least there will be no spray. And do not be discouraged if the embarrassment did happen. It happens to everyone? This is just a reason to smile.
