To do this, you will need to collect all the necessary documents, namely: work books, certificates from the archives of various organizations that confirm the seniority, passport, diplomas or thanks, as well as, if any, orders and awards.
Instruction manual
1
The first step in obtaining veteran status is to develop work experience. By decree of 1995, a man who has reached the age of 60 years may become a veteran, while his work experience must be at least 25 years. Veteranship is granted to women upon reaching 55 years and at least 20 years of work experience. In addition, women who gave birth to at least five children, as well as mothers of disabled children, enjoy the right to receive this title.
2
In addition to length of service, an important role in obtaining veteranism is played by various letters and thanks. Therefore, you need to make sure that your employer submits an application for awarding you with an honorary diploma of the governing bodies of the Russian Federation. But this will only work if you work for a state-owned enterprise.
3
If you have certificates of awarding medals or orders, or certificates of awarding honorary titles of the Russian Federation, or (in the amount of two or more) certificates of authorship of an invention, or patents for an invention, then the status of a veteran is laid down by law.
Useful advice
If you have been denied the title of a veteran, and you do not agree with the refusal, then contact
parent organization. Such an organization is the county government or department
social protection of the population.
