A hostel is a place where nonresident students temporarily reside. It is provided by an educational institution on the basis of a specific set of rules. Most often, students live in dormitories because of their relatively low cost. But how do you pretend to be provided with a dorm room?

Instruction manual
1
Go to your school. Most likely, at one of the meetings with applicants the question of hostel was raised. You must find out which institution of your university you need to submit documents to.
2
Find out which documents you need to submit. In most cases, this will be a photocopy of the passport, a statement addressed to the rector and certain certificates. You need to collect all these documents, fill out the application correctly, and only after that go to the authority you discovered during step 1. Be sure to find out what the full list of necessary documents is, because in most cases if you don’t have at least one of them everyone else will.
3
If you have any benefits, be sure to provide information about them along with the main documents. Remember that beneficiaries have the right to priority accommodation in a hostel.
4
If you are a family of two students, you need to register at the university. Rooms are provided for families separately. If you study at different universities, you need to register in both, and the administration will already decide which of the hostel to move you to.
5
If you have been denied the provision of a dormitory room located in the city, agree to a regional hostel. When releasing the rooms of the city dormitory, the priority right to check in belongs in most cases to those who already live in the regional.
6
If you are not a nonresident student, but you need to get a dormitory room, you have the right to apply for settlement. Further, in accordance with Art. 16 of the law "On Higher and Postgraduate Professional Education", you can provide a room in the presence of empty seats remaining after the settlement of nonresident.
