Often, consumers have to deal with poor-quality communication services, or even overt dishonesty of mail employees in the delivery and delivery of mail. Therefore, it is useful to know how to properly receive in the mail, say, a parcel that came to your address by notice.
Instruction manual
1
After receiving the mail notice, visit the post office indicated in it. If for some reason you do not do this within the next five business days, the postal operator is obliged to send you a second notice (against receipt of delivery). Keep in mind that if you put your signature, then for each subsequent day of storage of the parcel you will have to pay. If, in violation of the law, the secondary notification was simply dropped into your mailbox, you are not entitled to take money from you for storage.
2
Having appeared with the notice on mail, fill in its reverse side. Indicate the series and number of the passport, by whom and when the document was issued, the place of registration, put down the current date and signature. Keep in mind that you have the right to put the date and signature only after you receive the postal item, although in practice, postal workers insist that you must first put the date and signature, and only then pick up the parcel.
3
Ask the mail employee to present you a parcel to inspect its appearance, packaging integrity and, if necessary, check the weight. By such actions, you may displease the postal workers and citizens who are waiting in line, but protect yourself from receiving a damaged parcel.
4
If the postal item has a preserved form, its weight after weighing matches the specified one, then take the parcel in your hands and only now put your signature on the notice and today's date.
5
If the postal item was sent with an inventory of the attachment, ask the mail employee to open it in your presence and check the contents with the inventory. As a rule, postal employees do this without reminder, because according to existing rules, parcels are delivered to recipients after reconciling the attachment with the entries in the inventory.
6
If during the opening of the parcel a shortage or damage to the attachment is discovered, request that you draw up an act on this that you must sign. Such an act will serve as the basis for payment of damages to you and conducting a departmental audit.
