Twenty children from different regions of Russia became the winners of a large-scale Internet project and showed the whole country their avant-garde works in the main museum of Russian national art. All artists 11-18 years old have the opportunity to repeat their success.
It's all about the internet
During the year, on the site of the MTS Generation M charity project, children from all regions of Russia could learn art for free from the teachers of the Tretyakov Gallery using video workshops. Based on the results of the educational program, participants were asked to complete the task: to create their own work based on the works of one of the founders of the Russian avant-garde Mikhail Larionov and upload it to the Generation M website.
Of the thousands of participants, children of different ages from 16 settlements of Russia became winners: from the capital to small towns and villages. The Rostov Region became the most creative region: immediately eight residents of the region were recognized as the best.
The works of the winners made up the exhibition "Generation Avant-Garde Player", which will run until December 2 in the New Tretyakov Gallery on Krymsky Val.
New season kicked off
For those who do not let go of the brush, MTS and Tretyakov Gallery launched the new season of the Generation M project. Children are invited to study painting, inspired by the works of the outstanding Russian landscape painter Vasily Polenov.
Everyone has a chance to come to Moscow and exhibit their work in the Tretyakov Gallery. To do this, go to the site pokolenie.mts.ru, watch master classes in fine art, write your own picture in the landscape genre and upload it to the project website.
The best art historians of the country will appreciate the work of the participants and choose the most gifted, whose paintings will make up the exposition, which will start in the fall of 2019 in the Tretyakov Gallery.
