Instruction manual
1
It is worth noting right away that in sending envelopes from Russia to other countries there is a significant difference from sending letters to your home country. The difference is in writing the recipient data.
2
Sign the letter that you want to send from Russia abroad, as follows:
1. first and last name;
2. house number, apartment number, street name;
3. city, postal code;
4. country.
3
All recipient data must be written in English only.
For instance:
1. Mr. Jacob Abramson;
2. 14, Coventry Street;
3. London WS103NC;
4. UK;
English language.
4
If you need to send correspondence from abroad to Russia, then the recipient address can be written in Russian. The fact is that most of the way your letter will be delivered by the domestic postal service. Only on the envelope must be written in capital letters RUSSIA. In any case, the sender's address must be written in English.
5
Remember also that if your envelope is heavier than a regular letter, in addition to the standard rate for sending abroad, you will need to pay an overweight. You can do this right away in the mail.
6
In most post offices you will find a box for sending international correspondence. It is better to lower the envelope there, so the letter will reach the addressee faster. But even if you threw the letter in a regular mailbox, there is nothing wrong with that. It will still find its recipient. It will just go a little longer due to the time spent sorting.
note
Urgent correspondence can be sent by airmail. This service is more expensive than standard sending, but your message will be received by the recipient within 24 hours.
Useful advice
1. Write the recipient address and the sender address in legible, block letters.
2. Be sure to include the index.
3. Stick on the envelope the required number of stamps corresponding to the postal rate.
