The USA is a country where tips are not just an indicator of the client’s attitude to the quality of the place and services, but the main income of waiters, bartenders, barista and taxi drivers. Very often tips in the amount of 10-15% are included in the bill immediately. In expensive restaurants, it is customary to leave about 20-25% of the total. In addition to food service outlets, it is customary to pay tip to American taxi drivers, maids and porters in hotels. You can tip in cash (relevant for taxi services and hotels) or ask them to withdraw from a bank card (in restaurants, cafes and even fast food eateries). On the other hand, if the service did not seem good, you can not tip, explaining what exactly you did not like.
2
Tipping is not a requirement in Southeast Asia. In Thailand, it is considered good form to leave 10% of the order in a restaurant or cafe, but if a small order was made, the waiter would not be upset by the lack of money for tea. In Cambodia, Burma, India, tips are always welcome, but if the quality of the service or food in the restaurant was not very good, you can safely ignore the requirements of waiters or taxi drivers. In Japan, tips can only be given in "western" places (large hotels for foreigners, some restaurants in Tokyo). Basically, the Japanese do not like tips and believe that payment for work should be fixed.

In European countries, gratuities are either included in the service charge or remain at the discretion of the client. As a rule, in southern Europe (Italy, France) you can leave "for tea" from 10 to 15% of the order value. In northern Europe and the countries of Scandinavia, the tip size varies from 3 to 10%, depending on how much the client liked the place. Sweden remains the most undemanding country to tip; here it is easy to limit itself to 3% of the order amount.
4
It is not necessary to leave money for tea at the beach resorts of the all-inclusive system, since it is believed that everything has already been paid. Nevertheless, if you leave the maid 1-2 dollars on the bedside table, the room will not only be cleaned, but they will make beautiful figures from towels on the bed and bring fresh flowers. In Turkey, it is customary to leave about 10% of tips outside the hotel. In Egypt, there is a special concept - "bakshish", which may be required by taxi drivers and Arab guides. Leaving them a tip is optional, moreover, if the quality of services is not pleasant, it is undesirable.
Helpful advice
Tipping is a voluntary practice and cannot be required by law. Each client can determine for himself whether he should tip for a service he likes or dislikes.
