Due to the fact that the duration of daylight hours cyclically varies throughout the year, decreasing in the winter, the energy consumption for lighting also cyclically increases. In order to somehow reduce it, many countries are introducing "winter time", moving the clock back in late autumn and returning to normal time in spring.

Instruction manual
1
Start by determining the day on which you need to switch the clock to winter time. When this measure of energy saving was used in Russia, the transition took place at 3 a.m. from the last Saturday to Sunday of October. In European countries, this is done on the same day, but the clock is transferred at 1 o'clock GMT (now it is called UTC - "Universal Coordinated Time"). In both North American countries, you need to translate the arrows a week later - at 2 a.m. on the first Sunday of November. But at the same time it is necessary to clarify whether "winter time" is used in the state where you are located. In Ukraine, before the transfer, it also does not hurt to find out the current state of affairs - decisions to cancel and refuse to cancel the transfer of arrows there are sometimes made several times a year. On the African continent, this method of saving is not very relevant, since closer to the equator the duration of daylight hours does not change much with the changing season.
2
Move the clock back one hour back if daylight saving time has arrived. Of course, there is no need to do this at three in the morning - “rewind time” in the evening, before bedtime, or vice versa in the morning. Do not forget to do this on all watches that you use (wrist, wall, in a mobile phone, built-in household appliances, etc.). Although, if you lose sight of any of the gadgets, then something terrible is unlikely to happen: the main thing is not to forget exactly the watch that you use regularly.
3
Many electronic watches can switch to winter time on their own, so before translating the “hands” in your cell phone, computer and other electronic devices, first make sure that this is not yet done by a smart device. If this option is not enabled, enable it in the device settings. For example, in the system clock of a Windows computer operating system, such a setting is placed on the "Date and Time" or "Time Zone" tab (depending on the OS version) of the window with the clock settings.
