But the rules and regulations for shipping items remain.
Instruction manual
1
Having determined the volume of items (items) prepared for shipment and their weight, first select the optimal format for mailing. It can be a parcel or a package. Parcels can send low-value print publications, books, manuscripts, posters, photographs. It can be simple, custom-made or with declared value (print media priced up to 10, 000 rubles are considered to be of little value).
2
There are strict size restrictions for a parcel. The minimum for a rectangular shape is 10.5 cm x 14.8 cm, for a roll, the sum of the double diameter and length is not more than 17 cm (the largest dimension is 10 cm).
3
The maximum size of the parcel is as follows. The sum of the thickness, width, length is not more than 90 cm, and the largest dimension is 60 cm. When sending a roll, measure the sum of the length and double diameter: it should not be more than 1 m 4 cm (the largest dimension is 90 cm).
The weight will also have a limitation: objects with a weight of less than 100 g and more than 2 kg will not be accepted for sending by parcel.
4
Parcels are also with declared value and simple. Attachments to the parcels can be various objects of cultural, domestic and other purposes. The weight and dimensions of parcels are normalized differently than parcels. The minimum dimensions are as follows: 11 cm x 22 cm or 11.4 cm x 1.62 cm. The maximum will be any measurement not exceeding 105 cm. The sum of the values (the perimeter of the largest cross section and length) should be no more than 200 cm.
5
If your parcel has one of the sides exceed the specified dimensions, it will be considered bulky. An ordinary package can weigh up to 10 kg, and a heavy one - up to 20 kg. Parcels up to 3 kg with the largest side up to 35 cm and the sum of three measurements up to 65 cm are considered small.
6
What if your item is 2 m long? It will be accepted if the circumference (the largest cross section) does not exceed 100-150 cm.
note
Are there any restrictions on the contents of the parcels? Yes, and they are very strict. It is not allowed to send by mail: any types of weapons and its main parts (including signal, gas and other types of weapons, electroshock devices, spark gaps); narcotic, psychotropic and other potent drugs; radioactive, corrosive, flammable, explosive, other dangerous substances; poisonous animals and plants; Russian money (banknotes of the Russian Federation), foreign currency; food products (perishable), drinks; items that pose a danger to postal workers (by the nature or characteristics of packaging) and which can spoil or contaminate other mail items and special postal equipment.
Useful advice
As for sending items of very non-standard sizes by sending, the issue can be resolved individually. The condition can be one: loading of the things packed by you into mail cars and their unloading is carried out by senders and addressees, their forces and means. Such packages exclude congestion along the line.
