Instruction manual
1
Make sure your child is eligible for retirement. It is provided to all minors whose relationship with the deceased is proven. Adopted children have the same rights as single-parent children. A child can receive payments from the moment of treatment to the age of 18. After this, the pension ceases to be accrued automatically. If a child enters full-time education, payments can be continued after adulthood, but not more than 23 years old.
2
Starting to apply for a pension, collect a package of documents. You will need a passport, a marriage or divorce certificate, a death certificate, the deceased's work book, a certificate of his salary, as well as documents proving the identity of the child and his relationship with the deceased. This is his passport, birth certificate, adoption or paternity.
3
Open a savings book or account with a plastic card in the name of the child or guardian (parent). You can receive a labor or social pension. Usually choose the one that is larger. However, there are a number of nuances that are important when choosing. For example, if death occurred as a result of suicide, the child is only entitled to a social pension and insurance benefits.
4
Contact the regional branch of the Pension Fund of Russia. Provide a full package of documents and a statement on behalf of the guardian (for minor children). You will be informed of the deadlines for considering the application and calculating the pension. If you have any questions, be sure to ask them and get clarifications. If it is not possible to reach agreement with the fund employee who is advising you, contact the head of the department.
5
Your child stopped receiving a pension, but a few months later entered full-time study at the university? Immediately after the order of admission is issued, contact the district pension fund with a statement on the resumption of payments. Attach a statement from the dean’s office, certified by the seal of the university and the signature of the rector, to the application. Please note that the pension must be issued starting from the day of enrollment, and from the moment classes begin. Be sure to check the date and in case of an error, ask to fix it.
