It often happens that, despite all the precautions, impudent guys unexpectedly come up on the street and ask for a smoke, and at the same time share a trifle. What to do? Fight, run or call for help? Both protective actions and precautionary measures should be taken into account so that similar situations simply do not arise.

1
Let's see where and when a passerby is a tasty catch for punks. Obviously, these are dark deserted courtyards and alleys, poorly lit and littered. Most robberies are committed in the late evening, sometimes in the early night — in the morning, hooligans also need to sleep. After all, who are the robbers? Often the same students of vocational schools, to whom the mother, as they say, "wave the pot" - and it's time to go home. Therefore, be extremely careful in unfamiliar courtyards in the evening (it is better to just never go there), in places of deserted and dimly lit ones, on days of half-time or football matches. Do not come to the unlit edge of the street and alley - from there, as in a children's horror story, a hand can stick out and drag it away. If you move around an unfamiliar city, build your route so that it runs past the police buildings, the fire department, along the wide and lighted streets. Be collected and attentive - an uneven gait, a look in oneself is a signal to local marginals: they are faced with a victim. Inattention can deprive a passerby of the opportunity to escape.
2
But here the local punks came close, and conversation could not be avoided. Do not answer directly to their requirements and questions; answers must be vague. For example: "What are you standing here?" - I’m standing here. "It is necessary to identify the leader; with a high degree of probability this is the one who started the conversation. In no case should bullies be allowed to surround themselves and go behind their backs.
3
If the robbers have a knife, you have to give what they require. There are no options - it’s difficult to resist a knife even for a trained athlete. If they are unarmed, you should drag out the conversation with empty phrases, seemingly not arguing, but remaining on your own:
- Give me the clock - time to see!
- I do not have.
- I saw - five minutes ago they were. What's in your pocket?
“They are not there.”
- Let me check and find.
“They are not in the pocket.” You will find - give me, I will be glad, because I do not have them.
Perhaps the aggressors will lag behind themselves, because they need to blame a passerby for something in order to justify their actions and at the same time inflame themselves. If they do not lag behind, it is better to suddenly attack the leader in the most effective way - for example, kick hard in the groin and run with all his might, shouting "Help! Fire!". But in order to escape, one must be sure that there is an opportunity to break away from the pursuit and that there is enough endurance.
note
It’s better not to go into unfamiliar areas and alleys, because running away can lead to a dead end.
Useful advice
Firstly, it’s good to train to run long distances, including cross-country. Despite the fact that in a dangerous situation adrenaline is thrown into the bloodstream, which gives strength for a short period of time and relieves the feeling of fatigue, the endurance reserve never hurts. Secondly, it’s good to wear sneakers - running away in shoes is not easy, but in high heels is impossible. Thirdly, you should not use any kind of self-defense weapon (for example, a gas pistol) if you do not know it well. In addition, weapons can be selected and used against the owner.
