Think about whether you should lend money to anyone at all. There is an opinion that you should borrow only that amount of money with which you can currently part free of charge. You can recall that at that moment when the debtor needed financial assistance, you were able to meet him. Let him help you now by repaying the debt.

Remind your friends about debts. Wise people say: "If you want to have friends, do not lend them." It’s good if a friend always gives money on time, but if he forgets about his debts or doesn’t give it back for several years, this invariably spoils the friendships - they become strained and unpleasant for you. It is just as difficult for a close friend to remind of a duty as a relative. After all, he may be offended and even stop communicating with you. But nonetheless, everyone is obliged to repay debts. In extreme cases, you can ask your friend for the amount that he owes you, this will put him in an unpleasant position and make him pay you.
