There are often cases when the buyer acquires low-quality goods. To return the money paid for it, you need to write a statement addressed to the administration of the store. His management is obliged to respond to your appeal and inform you of the satisfaction of your request or the refusal of it.
You will need
- - a sheet of paper A4;
- - a pen;
- - warranty card for the goods;
- - sales receipt;
- - an envelope for sending a claim.
Instruction manual
1
Take a sheet of A4 paper and write in the upper right corner (the so-called "heading") the name of the organization and the name of its director. If you do not know the name of the head, write to the "store director" and indicate the name of the retail facility.
2
After the store’s name, put your surname, first name, middle name and contact details (address and telephone number).
3
Having retreated a couple of lines from the header of the appeal, write “Claim” or “Statement” with a capital letter in the center of the sheet. After that, state the essence of the matter in the text.
4
Consistently write how you bought goods in the store that do not meet your requirements. Indicate the date of purchase, as well as identified defects and deficiencies in the product.
5
Next, refer to Art. 29 of the Law "On Protection of Consumer Rights". According to this article, you have the right to terminate the contract of sale, since significant shortcomings were discovered in the purchased product. A reference to laws will add weight to your application and justify the requirements put forward. Moreover, the administration and sellers of stores are afraid of very competent buyers and try to satisfy their requests without bringing the matter to court.
6
Having described the essence of the problem, clearly state your requirements. For example, "I ask you to terminate the contract and return to me the amount of money paid for the goods." Do not forget to write your further intentions in the event that your requirements are not met voluntarily. For example, "in case of refusal to return money or exchange goods, I will have to go to court, where, in addition to the amount itself, I will ask for compensation for moral damage and payment of a forfeit."
7
Put a date at the end of the text on the left, and your signature on the right. Attach a copy of the warranty card, a copy of the sales receipt, and a copy of the certificate from the warranty workshop (if any) to the claim letter.
note
If the seller refuses to accept your application from you, send it by registered mail with a notification.
Helpful advice
Make a claim in duplicate. Submit one to the store, and leave the second at home, having previously endorsed it with the store employees.
