To write a letter to the front, you need to mentally prepare for this. Messages from home are therefore valuable because they carry a charge of optimism that helped and helps soldiers survive in inhuman conditions.
Instruction manual
1
Prepare yourself for writing a letter to the front. Remember that your relative will be interested in all the details of your life, even if in fact you live in the old way. In war, ordinary life seems to be something unattainable, and your letter will be confirmation that it still exists.
2
Try to write a letter in a calm state, otherwise your anxiety and pain, beyond your will, will go through the lines of the message, and this will upset the fighter. But such news is needed just in order to maintain and strengthen the morale of the soldiers, and not oppress it.
3
Start the letter with an appeal. If you write to a close relative or friend, do not skimp on the words "dear", "dear", "beloved". If in civilian life they are rarely given great importance, then at the front each of them is valuable. Be sure to put a date at the beginning of the letter (you can even indicate the exact time). This will help the war veteran to feel next to you again, on such a specific day and time.
4
Tell in a letter about everyone whom the soldier left at home, going to the front. Do not talk about diseases and misfortunes, if there is no serious reason. We can mention that there were minor troubles, but now everything is already fine. Tell us in detail what you are doing (literally by the hour), with whom you are meeting, what you are talking about with other family members. In the warmest words, express the hope that soon you will all be together again.
5
Ask him to tell you in the next letter about his friends, about who he meets with people, about how soon your letter arrived. Avoid asking about the war. If necessary and possible, the fighter himself will write about it.
6
At the end of the letter, convey greetings and nods from all relatives - near and far, acquaintances and friends. Ask him to take care of himself, and if you are a believer, be sure to say that you pray for him. Write that you are waiting for his return as soon as possible. If you or your family members have recently photographed, attach one of the photographs in the letter.
