1
To fix the strap, you need to install an additional button like the one that stands at the end. This button can be bought at any music store. You can, of course, use the “outlet”, but this method is far from universal, because it requires a special strap. We advise you to stay on the first option.
2
In the center of the heel of the neck of the guitar, on its inner side, drill a hole in the direction perpendicular to the strings. The diameter of the hole for the self-tapping screw is from 1 to 1.5 mm, the depth is from 10 to 12 mm. A self-tapping screw is either attached to the purchased button, or it must be selected so that it goes into the hole on the button, and does not stick out of it.
3
From the old thin mediator (preferably metal), cut the washer under the button and make holes in the washer for a self-tapping screw using a round file. If you decided to use a metal pick as a washer, then you can’t do with a file here. You will have to drill a hole with an electric drill, and then process its edges with sandpaper or the same file.
4
Screw the self-tapping screw to the stop, inserting it first into the button. Then do a quarter turn in the opposite direction. It is necessary to ensure that the button scrolls slightly. If the hole was drilled with the correct diameter, then the button will scroll while the screw will stand still. If you have not guessed a little with the diameter of the hole, split a toothpick or a match and place the slivers in the hole, and also drop a little PVA there. You can also screw a self-tapping screw, dipping it in the same glue - it will be more reliable.
5
Here are two basic options for attaching the strap: Screw one stud into the middle of the right side. Although this carnation is already on most new guitars. But on old instruments, it is rare. From one end of the strap you will see a slot designed specifically for this stud. At the other end there will be a string tied to the head of the instrument; Another clove is added, which is screwed into the heel of the guitar neck. In this case, a strap with the same slots under the cloves at both ends is suitable.
