Taxi reform has been discussed by the authorities since 2010. Several projects were created, on which there were serious discussions. The first changes in this area were made already in 2011. And finally, the law on taxis should be formed by 2015.

In September 2011, one of the first taxi reforms took place. Laws for this area of activity have been tightened. Under the new rules, each car must be equipped with identification marks, a taximeter, receipts to confirm payment and tariff information. Organizations themselves must receive a license that will be valid for 5 years. Another innovation is that taxi companies can only work if they have their own cars.
The latest change hit hard on the purses of the founders of the business. Indeed, before the company worked with taxi drivers who have their own cars. Now, organizations are forced to seek out funds to replenish (and sometimes create) their fleet. Managing one or two cars is unrealistic, i.e. owners have to purchase at least two dozen cars. And this is only for small firms. Well, the directors of large organizations, respectively, need to buy from one hundred to three hundred cars.
But the changes in the taxi industry are not over yet, ahead are waiting for even more global innovations. Some organizations fear that the law will be even more severe. And for this reason they suspend their activities. Some taxi drivers also retrained. In order not to risk earned money (large fines are imposed for breaking the law), many have changed their sphere of activity. Taxis from various cities have experienced staff shortages. Naturally, citizens suffered as well, because you can now wait for a car longer than, for example, a year ago.
Every law is getting tougher and tougher. And, most likely, the fare and waiting time of the car because of this will regularly increase. This is one of the most striking consequences of the reform, which will be seen by all people using a taxi. Each decision practically forces you to invest in your business both taxi drivers and business founders. And, of course, in order to at least achieve self-sufficiency, carrier companies increase tariffs.
Changes will also affect the appearance of cars. In the near future they will be painted in one color. The salon will also undergo changes: the taxi driver will be obliged to hang up information about the organization, personal data and telephone numbers of dispatch services in a prominent place. In addition, navigators and devices for reading bank cards will appear inside the cabin. Perhaps the license plates on the cars will turn yellow.
Also, most likely, the taxi market will be divided into two segments. The first will consist of inexpensive cars, possibly only of domestic assembly. Tariffs for such carriers will be the same for each settlement. The second segment will consist of premium cars, and the cost will vary depending on the brand of car and the distance of travel.
