Biography
The future footballer was born into a simple farming family on a February 1989 day in the small Croatian city of Omis. From an early age, Ivan was very active, and his parents decided to write him in some section. Especially little Perisic liked to kick the ball, and it was decided to send him to the football academy. One of the best academies in Croatia is considered to be Hajduk Split, and the choice fell on it. Already at the age of six, he was one of the students of the club.
Perisic showed incredible results for his age, quickly studied and progressed, and after 10 years already at a young age began to attract the attention of various European clubs. However, the talent of the young athlete suddenly turned out to be a real financial problem for the family. Ante Perisic, Ivan’s father, decided to sell most of his poultry farm, take a lot of loans and did not lose - his son managed to break into big sport.
When the young talented player turned seventeen, he was already closely watched by quite serious football league clubs: Ajax, Hertha, PSV, Hamburg. Agile the rest and more attractive to the player himself was the proposal from the French “Sochaux”. This club, as expected, bought a new player for the future, at the base he could not find a place, and therefore Perisic played for the youth team and the double. In 2009, he temporarily “moved” to the Belgian club “Ruselare” on loan.
Professional career
Seventeen matches for “Ruselare” and five goals scored were not left unattended, and after returning from a player’s lease, he bought another Belgian club “Brugge”. In the new team, Ivan found opportunities to prove himself, and he almost immediately won a place in the starting lineup of this famous, one of the best clubs in Belgium.
The debut in “Brugge” took place in the match against “Genk” in 2009, which took place on September 13 as part of the national championship. The match ended in a draw 1-1, with the first goal of “Club Brugge” scored by the rookie team Perisic. In total, according to the results of the season, he played 33 matches and was marked by nine goals scored. The club took third place in the regular season of the country.
The club finished the next season in fourth position, and Perišić with an asset of 37 matches and 22 goals scored was recognized as the best striker of the tournament. Such a high indicator and contribution to the team’s results attracted the attention of the eminent German club “Borussia Dortmund”. In May 2011, the clubs agreed, and Perisic moved to a German club for five million euros, an agreement with the player was designed for five years.
Perisic proved himself to be the best in the new club, almost immediately taking one of the key roles on the field. The debut match of the Croatian winger took place in August 2011. The young athlete entered the game at 75 minutes, replacing more experienced teammate Chris Leve. In September of that year, he gracefully scored an incredible goal from a distance of 20 meters into the goal of the English club Arsenal. This spectacular match was held within the Champions League, and Perisic's goal became one of the most spectacular in the group stage. In general, the season for the newcomer to “Borussia” turned out to be quite productive, he had 41 games, where he scored nine times.
In the next season, the Croat became much less likely to get into the starting lineup, this was due to great competition, regular rotation and lower productivity of the player himself. During the season, Ivan repeatedly criticized the team coach Jürgen Klopp, primarily blaming him for having “favorites” in the team. Systematic attacks against the head coach ultimately led to the club's management deciding to fine the player. Klopp himself answered reproaches that he has no "favorites", and Perišić behaves like a child.
Perhaps this situation and tensions in the team led to the fact that the Croatian player left the team in the winter transfer window. Already on the sixth of January it was announced that Perisic would move to another German club, Wolfsburg. For the first time, Ivan played for the new club on January 10 of the same year, just four days after the transition. In the first friendly match for him in the new team against the Belgian club Standard, Perišić scored a goal.
On January 19, Ivan entered the field in the official game against the famous Stuttgart. In early spring of the same year, a Croatian footballer seriously injured his knee and knocked out of the sport for a whole month. By the end of the season, he returned to the team, and on May 11, he effectively performed in the match against his former club Borussia Dortmund. Already by the sixteenth minute, “Wolfsburg” led 2-0 in the score thanks to the spectacular double of Ivan Perisic, but the “wolves” could not hold a weighty advantage. Unfortunately, this match ended in a draw 3-3.

August 30, 2015, the player left the location of “Wolfsburg” and moved to Italy. The new club of a talented Croatian was Inter Milan, in which he still plays.
