Instruction manual
1
Joseph Kobzon is a Russian and Soviet singer who came to Olympus of glory solely because of his talent, perseverance and hard work. His biography is not much different from the biography of his peers, children of the pre-war years - evacuation, school, military service, college, work. But he managed to build his fate in such a way that he was always accompanied by creative luck, while he never compromised with his conscience and faithfully served the homeland. Until now, he proudly bears the title of People's Artist of the Soviet Union, Laureate of the Lenin Komsomol Prize, USSR State Prize.

Joseph Davydovich Kobzon was born on September 11, 1937 in the city of Chasov Yar, in the Donetsk region. He was born into a family of employees. Joseph was the youngest, except for him in the family there were two brothers - Isaac and Immanuel. Subsequently, Joseph's mother - Ida Isaevna - remarried to Moses Rappoport, who had two sons, and his sister Helen was born in a second marriage.

Kobzon's creativity can be loved or not accepted, but this is an era in the Soviet and Russian pop music. Like most pop singers of the Soviet Union, Kobzon began his concert activity with the Rosconcert, performances on radio, and subsequently on television. He never disdained the hardest work and was ready to speak anywhere in the Soviet Union. For him, the status of the audience did not matter - he spoke equally responsibly both at government concerts, and before Tyumen oil workers, Chernobyl liquidators, and free charity concerts.
4
The beginning of Kobzon's creative activity took place in the 60s, he took a worthy place in a cohort of leading Soviet performers, such as Muslim Magomayev, Eduard Gil, Lev Leschenko, Valentina Tolkunova. A ticket to the concert activity was given to Kobzon by the Soviet composer Arkady Ostrovsky, who entrusted the young student of Gnesinka with his songs “In Our Yard”, “Boys, Boys”, “Biryusinka”. Further, Kobzon’s repertoire expanded due to songs of a patriotic orientation, this was facilitated by cooperation with unique Soviet authors Alexandra Pakhmutova and Nikolai Dobronravov. Kobzon’s repertoire (more than 3, 000) includes songs of the most diverse orientations - lyrical, patriotic, folk, which he always serves in his recognizable noble manner.
5
Kobzon's performances are distinguished by a high stage culture, respect for the audience, the complete absence of both flirting, and neglect and arrogance. Kobzon is equally responsible for his colleagues in the workshop, which gave reason to call him the “godfather” of pop music.
6
Since 1990, Kobzon added the status of a politician to the role of public figure and singer, he became a deputy of the Supreme Soviet of the USSR. Today he is a deputy of the State Duma of the Federal Assembly of the Russian Federation of the VI convocation from the party "United Russia". Since 2012, Joseph Davydovich has not been active in concert activity, but continues to organize and perform at various charity concerts.

Joseph Davydovich is the father of a large and friendly family. His wife Nelli Mikhailovna is the guardian of the hearth. Children Andrei and Natalya did not follow in the footsteps of their father, but they have excellent musical data. Andrei in his childhood was for some time the soloist of the Bolshoi Children's Choir. Five granddaughters - Polina, Anna, Idel, Michelle, Arnella and two grandchildren, Misha and Alain Joseph. Kobzon married a third marriage, the first two were short-lived. Kobzon's first wife was pop singer Veronika Kruglova, the second - unforgettable Lyudmila Markovna Gurchenko.
note
Joseph Kobzon began artistic activity in childhood. At the age of nine, he had the opportunity to speak to Joseph Stalin. Thus, Kobzon is the only one of all variety performers who spoke to all the leaders of the country.
Yuri Zlatov - under this pseudonym Kobzon worked out one concert. The pseudonym was coined by Ostrovsky, so as not to advertise the Jewish origin of the artist. Subsequently, Kobzon politely but firmly refused this pseudonym.
