Igor Vladimirovich Ushakov is the founder and leader of the men's choir "Valaam". In 1992, he was awarded the title of Honored Artist of the Russian Federation.

Biography
Igor Vladimirovich was born in 1965 in Volgograd. In 1984, he graduated from the art school of this city.
The year 1990 was marked for Ushakov by another significant event, when the future founder of the choir graduated from the State Conservatory named after N. A. Rimsky-Korsakov in the city of Leningrad. He left the walls of this musical temple, acquiring two specialties. So Igor Vladimirovich became a certified conductor of the choir and a specialist in Old Russian singing art. In the same year, Ushakov founded the male choir at the Valaam Monastery, and after 4 years he created the male choir Valaam.
