Heather Matarazzo became interested in the world of cinema during the campaign against AIDS: she participated in the filming of the video as an extra. Biography
Heather Amy Matarazzo was born in Long Island in 1982, she is Irish by birth. The Matarazzo family is Catholics, so the father took all the money cares, and the mother was engaged in housekeeping and raising children. Their family had strict orders, and yet Heather grew up as a brave and independent girl.
This manifested itself later, when the future actress graduated from high school and told her parents that she wanted to devote herself to cinema. Moreover, already at the age of six she took part in the filming of the series "Rosanna" (1998), though in a small role.
Heather spent her childhood in Oyster Bay, where she graduated from high school and the BOCES Center for Culture and Arts.
Movie career
Since 1990, Heather has received several roles in various series: Law and Order (1990), The Adventures of Pete and Pete (1992), Ambulance (1994). Work in these projects lasted five to ten years, and the process of filming brought the actress a real pleasure.
In 1997, Matarazzo received the Independent Spirit Award for her role in the movie Welcome to the Dollhouse. As critics wrote, Heather became so accustomed to the role of the "little unhappy girl" that it was later difficult not to associate her with this role. It was a very difficult reincarnation: to play an unfortunate little man persecuted by everyone who, even in sexual violence, seeks hope that someone will pay attention to him.
A similar role went to Heather in the movie "Our Boys".
