Kenneth Hagin is a famous religious preacher whose work in the field of serving the Lord has made a significant contribution to Christianity in the United States of America. The world is known as the interpreter of the Bible, the creator of the Bible school, the prophet and healer.
As a preacher of prosperity, he condemned those who held extreme views on this issue. To help his followers understand the doctrine of prosperity and maintain balance in Christian life, he published the book “Touch of King Midas.” Pupils who did not heed his recommendations were indeed punished. They were faced with negativity from public opinion and the media, came under the investigation of the Senate.
A family
Kenneth Erwin Hagin - from McKeanie, Texas. Born in the family of Lilia Viola, Drake Hagin and Jes Hagin on August 20, 1917. Despite the fact that their father abandoned them when the boy was six years old, Hagin himself had a full-fledged family - wife Oret Ruker, son Kenneth Wayne Hagin and daughter Patricia Harrison.
The Way of the Preacher
Born with a congenital heart disease so weak that he was mistaken for the dead by an obstetrician. By sixteen years, the disease confined him to bed. This was the starting point of his life path. It was during this period that he went down to hell three times and was healed by Jesus.
After leaving school he becomes a preacher in the parish church of the city of Roland. Raised in a Baptist environment, Hagen was more inclined to the full Gospel churches and their teachings on divine healing. In 1937 he passed into Pentecostalism and began to serve in the "Assembly of God." After that, his services became even more incredible. According to Hagen, during his sermons, people soared in the air, fell into a cataleptic trance, and even there were cases of healing and resurrection.
In 1949 he reads the last sermon as a pastor of the “Assembly of God”. The independent activity of the interpreter of the Bible begins. Kenneth Hagen not only read the New Testament more than a hundred times, but also received visions and revelations.
The first appearance of Jesus was in the fall of 1950. It was accompanied by an ascension to heaven and a descent into the underworld. This event took place before the eyes of many witnesses, and, according to them, they even heard Hagen read the text of the scroll handed to him by an angel. Kenneth Hagan spoke of eight encounters with Christ. Several were for guidance, and during some of them he even argued with Christ over the interpretation of various passages from the Bible and demanded evidence of Jesus being right. He had to teach the church everything that Jesus taught and instructed.
In the 1960s, Kenneth organized the World Evangelism mission, and already in 1974 opened a Bible school, Rema, with his son.
Kara to unbelievers
At the beginning of his career, Hagen ascended above the earth at one of the divine services, but his own wife and two other people doubted him. During prayer, Kenneth received the “word of the Lord” with an order to touch those who doubted. All three were paralyzed as a result. He could remove paralysis from them only after they recognized that all this was the power of God.
