Dmitry Viktorovich Guberniev, a well-known Russian TV presenter, journalist and sports commentator, has many professional awards behind him, of which I would like to single out the Order of Friendship, the Order of Merit for the Fatherland, 4th Class and the Taffy Award. His manner of conducting sports programs and informing the country about thematic news has long become a benchmark. It is interesting that before becoming a commentator and TV presenter, he was able to reach the level of a master of sports in rowing. And his interests include vocals and television appearances as the host of various entertainment programs.

A professional and responsible approach to each broadcast by Dmitry Guberniev taught all viewers that any sports program with his participation will be accompanied not by dry comments, but by numerous facts from the life of athletes. Today, the journalist’s professional portfolio also contains various entertaining and intellectual programs. It is interesting that in his circle of interests he also includes heavy music in the style of heavy metal. In 2013, Dmitry recorded the album "Biathlon Wind", in which he performed as a singer of songs.
Biography and career of Dmitry Viktorovich Guberniev
On October 6, 1974, the future famous TV presenter was born into the family of a glassmaker and a pharmacist in Drezne near Moscow. From childhood, Dima showed interest in various sports, and from the age of eleven he began to seriously engage in rowing, which he succeeded in earning the title of master of sports.
After receiving a certificate of secondary education, Guberniev entered the Russian Academy of Physical Culture (coaching faculty), and later he expanded his specialization at the Institute for Advanced Studies of Radio and Television Staff.
And the debut of his television career can be considered the year 1997, when he won the competition of the TVC channel, as a result of which he became the leading sports news column. And a year later he was preparing reviews of the Champions League magazine and commenting on various matches on the Eurosport channel. In 2000, Dmitry Guberniev appeared in the Vesti program, and somewhat later on the Sport channel. It was during this period (2000-2005) that he got a cycle of copyrighted programs: Sport for the Week, Biathlon with Dmitry Guberniev and Sport Week with Dmitry Guberniev.
They soon begin to see a sports commentator and TV presenter in significant entertainment and intellectual broadcasts: Fort Boyard, Who Wants to Be Maxim Galkin, Star Ice and New Year's Blue Lights. Everyone is familiar with his television work at the Olympic Games, in the program "This is ridiculous." And in 2013, he became the chief editor of sports channels of the All-Russian State Television and Radio Broadcasting Company.
In addition, Dmitry Guberniev noted his comments on the Eurovision Song Contest (2016), when he drew parallels between music and sports. And the documentary "My Soviet Childhood" was a real journey in the past era for numerous sports enthusiasts of the younger generation.
Another positive moment with the participation of Dmitry Viktorovich occurred in 2017 during the awarding of biathletes at the world championship in the Austrian Hochfilzen, when the organizers switched on the 2000 version instead of the modern Russian anthem. It was Guberniev who picked up the microphone and, together with the athletes, sang it live.
However, the impeccable track record of the famous TV presenter still has flaws in the form of a series of scandalous stories related to statements addressed to the football goalkeeper Vyacheslav Malofeev, the opening ceremony of the Olympic Games in Sochi, when the commentator mixed up the teams of Uzbekistan, Tajikistan, Mongolia, Iceland, the Dominican Republic. In addition, everyone remembers the statements of Guberniev to the French biathlete Martin Fourcade and regarding the WADA sanctions.
And the cases of a brawl with Pavel Rostovtsev - the coach of the country's women's biathlon team - and other representatives of domestic sports in general deserve special attention, because only a true patriot of his homeland can react so fervently to the sporting achievements of Russia.
