Far start
They don’t come to work in the theater or cinema from the street. At the same time, the routes along which future celebrities have to travel are difficult and dangerous. Yuri Gorobets was born March 15, 1932 in a working class family. Parents at that time lived in the city of Ordzhonikidze. A few months later, his father was transferred to work in Shchekino, which is located near Tula. It so happened that the child grew up and was brought up in harsh conditions. The war began when Yura went to second grade.
Father went to the front and died the death of the brave. The boy stayed with his mother. They were lucky - the enemy could not capture the city where they lived. However, during the next bombing of residential areas, Yuri got a shell shock and began to stutter strongly. This speech impediment seriously complicated the daily life of a teenager. At school, Gorobets studied well. There weren’t enough stars from the sky. He persistently studied in a drama studio and gradually got rid of stuttering. Being engaged in creativity, Gorobets learned a large number of verses, poems and passages in prose.
Path to recognition
After school, Yuri took part in the All-Union competition of amateur performances. He won first place in the nomination of readers and received a privilege for admission to the famous GITIS. In college, I talked a lot with interesting people, watched how his peers live and what goals they set for themselves in the future. Having received a specialized education, he went on assignment to the service at the Yaroslavl Academic Drama Theater. Two years later he transferred with his wife to Odessa.
The professional career of Yuri Vasilievich evolved quite successfully. In 1961, the actor moved to the capital at the invitation of the director of the Moscow Drama Theater. Ten years passed within the walls of this temple of art like one day. But it's time to leave. For objective reasons, Gorobets moved to the Mayakovsky Theater. And here the actor served almost the "top ten." From 1989 to the present day his work book is kept at the Moscow Art Theater.
