Recently, a new figure has appeared on the horizon of Russian political talk shows - Gordey Belov. An expert from Ukraine is popular in his homeland, and in Russia he proved to be a tongue-tied man, poorly knowledgeable of the Russian language and zealously defending the cliches established by the Ukrainian authorities.
Childhood and youth
Gordey was born in 1983 in Nikolaev. A rare Slavic name was given to him by his mother, an actress of the local drama theater. His father's profession was more prosaic; he worked as a civil engineer. The biography of the boy was the most ordinary. He studied well at school, and after graduation he entered the shipbuilding university. A certified manager continued his education in a magistracy and received a degree in economics. He dedicated his thesis to investment development. The mayor of the city became interested in the project and used its materials in the work of the city government. After graduating from graduate school, the graduate defended his thesis on intellectual capital. He successfully combined his studies with teaching at the international university "Ukraine".
Economist and politician
In 2009, Belov was appointed to the post of vice-rector of the Interregional Institute for Human Development. Two years later, he began work on a doctoral dissertation. And a year later he decided to find practical application with his theoretical knowledge in the field of economics and finance and created his own financial company, Gordey Finance.
Belov began his career as a civil servant in the emergency department. A few years later he took the post of deputy mayor of the city of Ochakov. The order to dismiss from this post in the fall of 2017 was a surprise for Gordey's colleagues and for himself. According to the official version, the reason for the dismissal was the negligent attitude of the official to his official duties. There is another opinion that the reason for the resignation was the appearance of Vice Mayor Ochakov on Russian television. In the 60-second television studio, to the host’s question, “Does he consider Bandera a national hero, ” the Ukrainian replied that for him “the hero is the one who will establish peace and prosperity in Ukraine”.
