Biography
In the city of Antibes, located on the Cote d'Azur in the Provence region, on June 6, 1974 Guillaume Musso was born. Three years later, he becomes an older brother. The family celebrates the birth of the second son of Valentin. Mother tries to instill in her sons a love of literature, reading them in the evenings. And already in their teens, they help her in the library: they take books from visitors and put them on shelves. But the real literature is not their concern. Instead of reading, they prefer, every free minute, to devote walks along the picturesque stone streets of the Old Town or to be on the beach. But the fateful moment has arrived. Helping her mother again in the library, Guillaume Musso is interested in the cover of Emily Bronte’s Wuthering Heights book. Out of curiosity, he begins to leaf through the book at first, and then he cannot come off at all until he has read to the end. The difficult relationships of the heroes, love and revenge, the intricacies of fate, and most importantly, the author’s syllable amazed him so much that he had a desire to become a writer.
After graduating from school, Guillaume Musso did not immediately determine in which direction he should move further in life. Parents insist that he graduate in an area where he can earn money. They consider writing to be unprofitable and do not believe that it will carry him seriously. But Guillaume himself prefers literature, however, there are no ideas for writing books. He lacks life experience to build an interesting storyline, to imagine what heroes can be and what can move them. At the age of 19, he makes an important decision for himself to leave for a while in New York. There he gets a job as an ice cream seller, makes new acquaintances, learns a lot of interesting things and falls in love with the city.
He returns to France inspired with many ideas for his novels, but is in no hurry to put them into practice. After learning a lesson from living in New York, he enters the Economics Department of the University of Nice for undergraduate studies. Later, in Montpellier, he graduated from a magistracy with the right to teach economics and sociology in high school. Since 2003, he begins to teach at the International Education Center in Valbonne.
