Location of the icon in Greece
Today, the original of the miraculous image of the Mother of God is stored on Mount Athos. The icon is located in the cathedral church of the monastery of Vatopedi Monastery, to the left of the royal gates. "The Tsaritsa" is an image of the Blessed Virgin Mary in a crimson robe that sits on the throne and holds the baby Jesus in her arms. Jesus holds a scroll in his left hand, and blesses people from the icon with his right hand. The Virgin Mary with her right hand points to the Savior, and behind her are two angels with spread wings.
In addition to the "All-Tsaritsa", on the territory of the Vatopedi Monastery there is also another relic - the Belt of the Blessed Virgin Mary.
This icon is iconographic - that is, pure, pre-immaculate and all-merciful. Such epithets are usually accompanied by similar images of the Virgin, and their common feature is the sitting of Mary on the throne, which symbolizes her glory and regal grandeur. The icon shows its miraculous power, healing people suffering from cancer. Her first healed “patient” was a man who lived in the 17th century - since then, a fervent prayer appeal to the “Vsetsaritsa” has saved a lot of seemingly doomed people.
