Vancouver, British Columbia and even Baton Rouge in the state of Louisiana are places that have become cherished for fans of the Twilight picture and other parts of the famous saga - Eclipse, Full Moon and both parts of Dawn. They shot the picture in places inaccessible to "mere mortals" and in quite recognizable ones, for example, the Italian Montepulciano. But first things first.
So, Bella, the young heroine of the film, comes to her father in the foggy town of Forks, where he meets Edward Cullen, a young man with mysterious big eyes that amazed her with her mystery. These two are attracted to each other with such force that it doesn’t matter anymore that one of the lovers is a vampire and the other is a fragile girl who can die at any moment. A dramatic and passionate story unfolds against the backdrop of dense green forests and mountains, magnificent and incomparable scenery of the film.
From Canada to the States
These scenes were created in the United States of America, namely in Oregon and Washington. It is on the border of these two states, in Kalama, and there is a school where Bella and Edward met, and not at Forks at all, and it is called Kalama High School. The house where Bella and her father lived is located in the city of St. Helens - just like the alley, where hooligans attacked Edward's chosen one. The house in which the Cullens lived and where Edward (everything is like people!) Leads Bella to get acquainted with his family is actually not one. In each part of Twilight it was created anew. The very first was built in Vancouver - the Canadian city, known throughout the world for the 2014 Winter Olympics. But the authors of the film chose to shoot many natural scenes in Oregon, Portland, known for their magnificent nature. Connoisseurs of this region must have recognized on the screen of the Stone Cliff Inn, a terrace at the foot of the cliff. It was there that Edward for the first time openly and frighteningly tells Bella the whole truth about himself, shows the sparkling of his skin. There were shot scenes of roe deer hunting.
Not far from the town of Canon Beach, in Indian Beach, is the beach of La Push, where in the first part teens frolic from a school in Forks. Edward, as the spectators of the saga remember, refused to go there, but the Indians from the reservation felt themselves on the beach and in the surroundings as full owners.
Against the backdrop of scenery
Filming "Twilight", which took place on such a large geographical scale, was energetic and fun, according to the press. Connoisseurs of the film noticed a lot of inconsistencies in the picture, in other words, blunders, but from this she did not become less cute to them. Fans have forgiven the authors of Twilight for their slight unnaturalness and the apparent interference of computer programs - what is the magic without modern technology? The heroes of the film fly and climb to unimaginable heights with the help of cranes, cables and climbing equipment. These “attributes” came in handy during the baseball game scene, when real vampire predators entered the clearing to the Cullens. By the way, their spectacular flying gait was created using treadmill simulators. But this is another side of the film that deserves a separate story.
