He became one of the well-known entrepreneurs who are in serious competition in the construction and real estate business, and earned capital of three hundred million dollars.
Biography
Fred Trump was born in New York in 1905 in a family of Bavarian immigrants. His father came to America during the Gold Rush and became a successful gold miner. After making money, he brought his wife Elizabeth Christ to the United States.
The Trump couple had three children, everyone in the house kept German customs and often spoke German. Children helped at home as they could, and also earned extra money. So, Fred was delivering products from the butcher's shop to customers.
The head of the family died early, and Elizabeth and Fred had to deal with everything. After school, he went to the construction site as a laborer, although at that time he was already involved in the affairs of the Elizabeth Trump and Son company. The widow was able to develop her company and teach Fred the basics of business.
Trump was barely 18 years old, he borrowed eight hundred dollars from his mother and built a house for sale. From this case, he managed to earn more than six thousand dollars, and then it became clear that he had the ability to do business. Since then, he has come to grips with the construction of houses.
It is amazing how a young businessman caught the trends of the time, fit into various projects and came up with his own. For example, when, during the time of the Great Depression, businessmen collapsed their companies, Trump built a huge supermarket. This store helped the buyer save money, as the cost of maintenance personnel was minimal. A year later, he sold the store and again earned a lot of money on this.
During World War II, he also quickly rebuilt: he began to build barracks for soldiers and apartments for officers. After the war he built houses for veterans. Such resourcefulness could only be envied. And each project brought the businessman considerable profit.
Serious business
Closer to the sixties, Fred realized that you can not only build housing, but also rent it out. Then he showed interest in real estate. He was interested in everything related to housing, and in every area of this business sector he wanted to find the point of application that would help him make money.
In business, he was tough, purposeful and sought in any business to achieve maximum profit. He did not risk without an accurate miscalculation of the case and invested money only in those projects that seemed promising to him.
In 1963, he began to implement a large-scale idea: the construction of a residential complex on Coney Island, in southern Brooklyn. He cost Trump seventy million dollars.
By that time, the businessman had grown up children, and in 1968, Donald became a partner of his father. In 1971, he already became president of a construction company, but nevertheless decided to find his niche: to engage in real estate business in Manhattan. His idea was supported by his father and gave primary capital for business development in the amount of one million dollars. The son did not disappoint - he became a famous businessman, however, after some time.

This is not to say that everything about Trump went smoothly and that everything was safe. Because of his toughness, he often pressed partners, and newspapers wrote that he was speculating in government contracts. He was also accused of overstating the cost of construction work.
After some time, the US Department of Justice filed a lawsuit against Donald - accused of violations against the black population of the country. Allegedly, Trumps did not rent housing to African Americans. As a rule, Fred came out of all the alterations without any loss. And even when he was arrested as a participant in the Kuklusklan riots, they released him very quickly.
When his son Donald entered the business, he mainly worked in Manhattan: his area of interest was in this area. Fred stayed in Brooklyn and did business where he had done before.
In the last six years of his life, he did not work for health: he had Alzheimer. In 1999, when he was 93 years old, he passed away in a medical center.
