People who have achieved success in any field of activity become an example for others. And when you expand the spectrum of your affairs, you get into the field of view of even more people and you can influence them with your own example. This happened to Yevgeny Arkhipov, an athlete and businessman.

Biography
Evgeny Yurievich Arkhipov was born in 1965 in Leningrad, in an ordinary Soviet family. He studied in high school, actively involved in sports. The northern capital provides great opportunities for rowing - it was he who carried Zhenya back from school. He had excellent data, a desire to succeed, and soon he became a candidate master of sports in kayaking and canoeing.
Almost immediately after graduation, Eugene went to serve in the Armed Forces of the USSR and left there for two years. And after the army he entered the Leningrad State University, the Faculty of Law, the correspondence department. At that time he was already an employee of the Pulkovo Customs and worked there until 1992.
He did not forget the sport, although he did not become a professional - sometimes he trained and tried to maintain contacts with his comrades. He is friends with one of them until today - this is the former president of the Russian Federation Dmitry Anatolyevich Medvedev.
Entrepreneur career
The nineties gave great opportunities to people who were open to the new. During this period, the sporting nature of Arkhipov manifested itself: he was not afraid of difficulties and began to engage in individual entrepreneurship. His first idea was well embodied: he ordered souvenirs with paintings in the famous Palekh and delivered them to souvenir shops. So he worked for three years, and then radically changed his field of activity.
In 1991, Yevgeny Yuryevich went on business to New York and saw street eateries there: fast food carts that provided a good snack for the townspeople running past. Arkhipov thought that it would be nice in Russia to make the same food points. Upon arrival from America, he bought one such trolley and began the experience of organizing "fast food" in St. Petersburg. The townspeople liked this idea of the opportunity to eat on the go, and the business with trolleys began to develop rapidly. Currently, Arkhipov has twenty such points in the city.
Of course, the first is always difficult. Firstly, equipment for such a business is not cheap: one trolley at a price comparable to the price of an apartment in St. Petersburg. Plus, people have different tastes, and they had to work out some kind of middle menu that would suit most residents of the city. However, everything worked out, and the business developed further.
Carts with "fast food" began to appear at various holidays, at city public events and gave good profits.
The next stage in the development of this business was the opening of fast food restaurants in St. Petersburg. Arkhipov founded the City Grill Express brand and under this sign opened the first restaurant with various fast food. However, this idea was not found among Petersburgers - they did not want to have hot dogs in the restaurant. I had to look again for the basic concept, and it was later implemented in a more refined menu, the basis of which is steaks and burgers.
This idea has borne fruit, and now three such restaurants are already working in St. Petersburg, and one is quite large - it has more than a hundred seats.
At the same time, Arkhipov was not only engaged in business - he held rather high posts in various organizations. For three years, starting in 2002, Yevgeny Yuryevich was the deputy head of Baltnefteprovod LLC, and then he moved to Avtotransportnye Tekhnologii LLC, also to the post of deputy. Currently, he is vice president of Northern Expedition LLC, as well as vice president of the All-Russian Kayaking and Canoeing Federation.

This position was put forward by the collegiate rowing federation of St. Petersburg as a former athlete. Arkhipov doubted for a long time, because such a position requires a lot of effort, time, and sometimes the cost of personal funds. In one interview, he said that financing sports from the budget does not cover all expenses, and many coaches work on the principle of "not thanks, but contrary to." Such federations are generally poorly funded - basically all the money goes to national teams, and the remaining problems are solved by rowing enthusiasts. The entrepreneur himself has been involved in this sport for six years and knows everything from the inside out. However, later Arkhipov agreed to take part in the work of the federation and made a great contribution to the development of rowing. So, the pre-Olympic season that year ended with an excellent result: eight Olympic licenses received by Russian athletes. Therefore, rowers have high hopes that such a person as Arkhipov, through their active participation, will help them provide everything necessary for training and trips to competitions.
