Allison Howell Williams is an American actress, singer, screenwriter and producer, actor and MTV nominee for her role in the film Away. She is also known for the films: Lemony Snicket: 33 Misfortunes, Mindy's Project, Girls.

The future actress was born in New Canaan, Connecticut in the spring of 1988. Her ancestors were of Irish, Swedish, German, English, Scottish and French descent. One of her mother's great-great-great-grandfathers, Owen Lovedzhoy, was a priest, lawyer, and Republican congressman from Illinois.
Her parents were creative people. My father worked as a leading and editor-in-chief of NBC Nightly News, and my mother was a television producer.
In one of her interviews, Allison said that, as she remembers herself, she always dreamed of becoming an actress and had no doubt that she would achieve what she wanted.
After receiving primary education, Allison entered Yale University in the department of English language and literature. There she was fond of the theater and began performing in student productions. But her talent was not recognized immediately.
In the first year, the girl was denied participation in the musical "Main Stage", staged by Yale Dramatic Association. The director considered that she did not have enough experience and acting skills.
After 2 years, Williams became a member of the comedy improvisational group Just Add Water. She also starred in the student series for the YouTube channel Music College.

Creative career
Williams played her film debut while studying at the university in the projects: “League” and “American Dreams”. She appeared in only a few episodes and went unnoticed.
In 2011, Allison was approved for one of the central and permanent roles of Marnie Michaels in the series "Girls". The film was released for 5 seasons, received excellent reviews from viewers and film critics, and won awards: Golden Globe and Emmy. The actress also received excellent reviews and was nominated for an Emmy.
In 2014, Williams fulfilled her childhood dream of playing in a fairy tale about Peter Pan. She was offered a major role in the television music project Peter Pan. On the set, the young actress met with the famous Christopher Walken, who played in the movie Captain Hook.
