The transition to democratic principles of governing the country in the former republics of the Soviet Union proceeds with different intensities. In the Republic of Kazakhstan, all necessary procedures were carried out in a calm atmosphere. Elena Tarasenko as an active citizen was elected to the Majilis of the country.

Starting conditions
To find his calling, each adequate person has to try his hand in various fields of activity. For people with an outgoing character, it is preferable to engage in public activities. Elena Ivanovna Tarasenko showed her civic activism in solving the problems of improving the settlement in which her family lived. The future deputy of the Mazhilis was born on September 13, 1956 in the small settlement of Baichunas in western Kazakhstan. Parents worked at the state farm and on their own private household.
Elena grew up an obedient and neat girl. From an early age she was accustomed to work. She helped her mother maintain order at home. I could cook dinner myself or wash clothes. At school, Elena studied well. Her favorite subjects were biology and geography. When the time came to choose a profession, Tarasenko already knew that she would become a school teacher. Having received a specialized education at the Ural Pedagogical Institute, she worked for three years by distribution in a rural school. Elena Ivanovna managed to put the learning process in such a way that students showed interest in the subject being studied.

Social work
A promising teacher was transferred to the regional center, and appointed as the organizer of extracurricular educational work. Tarasenko managed to establish the process of education at a high level. The children were always busy either in sports sections, or in skillful hands circles of folk art, or in a theater studio. A teacher with organizational skills was promoted to a responsible post in local government. In 1987, Elena Ivanovna was elected deputy chairman of one of the village councils.
Tarasenko treated all assignments and duties with full responsibility. She always performed tasks in a timely manner. In 1997, she was appointed deputy akim of the city of Uralsk. Elena Ivanovna oversaw the social sphere and domestic policy issues. Assessing the contribution of Tarasenko to the development of urban infrastructure, in 2004, residents elected her deputy of the Mazhilis of the Parliament of the Republic of Kazakhstan. Elena Ivanovna began her parliamentary activities in the Commission on Women's Affairs and Family Demographic Policy.
