Julia Mackenzie is a British actress, singer and theater director. She is known to the audience as the leading woman in the TV series Miss Marple Agatha Christie. She also starred in Cranford, Jack and the Beanstalk: A True Story, Purely English Killings, and The Scandalous Diary.

The full name of the actress is Julia Kathleen Mackenzie. She was born February 17, 1941 in the county of Middlesex in the UK. In 1971, Julia married actor Jerry Hart. A daughter and a son were born in their family. Mackenzie's husband died in 2018.
Julia played Miss Adelaide in the 1982 play Guys and Dolls. She participated in the 1994 production of Sweeney Todd as Mrs. Lovett. For her work in the theater, she received the Laurence Olivier Award. She could also be seen as a witch in the musical play "The Farther Into the Forest."
