Dmitry Borisov is one of the main stars and the face of Channel One. Despite his youth, he has a solid background in television. He started as a presenter of news programs, led live broadcasts, was engaged in production activities. However, Borisov really made a name for himself when he replaced the presenter Andrei Malakhov on the popular talk show "Let them talk."
Biography: childhood, family, education
Borisov Dmitry Dmitrievich was born on August 15, 1985 in the small Ukrainian city of Chernivtsi, located near the Romanian border. As can be seen from the full name, he was named in honor of his father, while leaving his mother's surname. In an interview, the TV presenter said that under these conditions, parents “divided” their son. The mother succumbed to the father’s desire to name the child in her honor, and he, in turn, gave her the right to a surname. Dmitry Borisov has two younger sisters.
His father, Dmitry Petrovich Bak, is no less famous person than his son. He is a famous philologist, journalist, professor of the Russian State Humanitarian University and director of the V. I. Dahl State Museum of the History of Russian Literature. Mother - Borisova Elena Borisovna - also engaged in philology and teaching. It is she who still follows the culture of speech and the correct pronunciation of Dmitry.
Borisov lived in Chernivtsi for less than a year. Frightened by the Chernobyl disaster, parents sent their son to their grandmother in Lithuania. He lived there until he reached school age. And he also managed to visit Nizhny Novgorod and Kemerovo, where his parents worked for some time. However, Dmitry considers Moscow to be his most dear and beloved city, where he has been living continuously since school times.
Following the example of his parents, he chose philological education, having studied at the Faculty of History and Philology of the RSUH. In 2007, Borisov received a diploma and continued his studies in graduate school. He specialized in culture, history, literature of Russia, France and Germany, prepared a dissertation. Her defense was prevented by professional workload on television. However, Dmitry leaves no hope of ever continuing his scientific career. His brilliant mental abilities are also evidenced by the fact that Borisov knows several languages (English, French, German, Latin, Ukrainian, Italian).
Career on radio and television
Dmitry Borisov began his career at the age of 15. Since his family rarely turned on the TV, the young man scooped up information from books or radio programs. He especially liked the radio Echo of Moscow. Gaining courage, Dmitry wrote a letter to the chief editor, proposed the idea of a new program. He was noticed and invited to an internship, and then to the information service. He worked on the radio until June 2016. He conducted the programs “Silver”, “Fellow travelers”, “Ekhodrom”. Perseverance and hard work helped Dmitry to successfully combine work and study.
In 2006, he came to work on Channel One, and conducted morning, afternoon, and evening news broadcasts. Since 2011, Borisov has been entrusted with the need to replace his colleagues in the country's main news program - the Vremya program. Since August 2011, he launched his own project, “Evening News”, which aired at 18:00. By decision of the leadership, this program changed the format, new sections were added, sports reviews were expanded, and eminent guests were sometimes invited. The new presenters were replaced by new young faces of the channel - Dmitry Borisov and Julia Pankratova.
The next round of the TV presenter’s career came in October 2015. He took the position of general producer of Channel One JSC. World Wide Web, ”responsible for the development of television companies around the world.
In addition to stationary work in a television studio, Borisov showed himself well in live broadcasts and business trips. Among the most notable television events with his participation are:
- live broadcast of the parade on Red Square (May 9, 2008);
- Channel One Olympic team at the Sochi Olympics (February 2014);
- the charity telethon “Worldwide” (September 2013), organized to support flood victims in the Far East;
- “Direct line with Vladimir Putin” (June 2017).
According to Dmitry, he was pleased with how his career in television was developing. Therefore, the proposal to replace Andrei Malakhov as the host of the talk show “Let them talk”, received in the summer of 2017, did not cause much enthusiasm at first. It was not easy for Borisov to plunge into the entertainment sphere after many years of news. However, the consistently high ratings of "Let them talk" and the unflagging interest of the audience prove that he is still coping with this task.
Since September 2018, the “Exclusive” program has been launched on Channel One, in which Borisov communicates with famous people. A new show is released on Saturdays in the evening.
