Childhood and youth
When a boy chooses the military profession, then those around him cause tacit approval. The defense of the native country has always been worthy of employment. People enjoy indulgence in music and singing. Vladimir Sergeyevich Devyatov received his basic education at a military school. The career of a career officer developed successfully, but the passion for music, as they say, outweighed. Devyatov resigned from the armed forces and entered the famous Gnesins Music and Pedagogical Institute.
The future singer and composer was born on March 15, 1955 in a military family. Parents lived in Moscow. My father served as a lawyer in the army. Mother worked as a teacher of literature. A child from an early age demonstrated musical abilities. The head of the family played excellently by ear. He especially succeeded in melodies of waltz and tango. The house has accumulated a large collection of phonograph records with recordings of classical and pop music. Little Volodya loved to listen to songs performed by Claudia Shulzhenko and Sergey Lemeshev.
Professional activity
Upon reaching the age of seven, Devyatov was enrolled in two schools at once - general education and music. In high school, he organized a vocal and instrumental ensemble. The guys were good at playing musical compositions of foreign bands Chicago, Deep Purple, Beatles. Vladimir had no interest in folk motives in those years. Since that time, Devyatov no longer parted with the accordion and guitar. At the military school, he actively participated in music and entertainment events. As a student at Gnesinka, in 1985 he formed the ensemble "Russian Chants".
It took Vladimir Devyatov more than ten years to occupy his niche on the Russian stage. About the work of the original artist and composer began to talk in the press. Ensemble performances and solo numbers began to appear regularly in television broadcasts. The central direction in the creative work of the maestro is the popularization of folklore, old songs and romances. To this end, through the efforts of Devyatov, the "Center for Russian Culture and Art" was created in Moscow.
