Danny Green Biography
Hard childhood
Danny Green, real name Daniel John Patrick Green, was born on November 14, 1933 in Cleveland, Ohio, USA. His parents were Irish immigrants. Mother - Irene Cecilia Fallon. died on the 3rd day after birth. Father John Henry Green named the child Daniel, in honor of his father, and was very addicted to alcohol. He could not raise a boy; he had to attach a boy to an orphanage. After 6 years, he settled down with drunkenness and married a nurse. The couple decided to pick up the boy from the orphanage, but for Danny both were strangers, since the father had not visited the child for all these 6 years. The boy escapes from his father a stepmother. He was sheltered by his paternal grandfather with the same name Daniel. When Danny Green was 26 years old, his father died, but he bequeathed his inheritance only to children from his second marriage.
Youth Danny Green
At first, Danny attended a Catholic school for young children. The nuns and priests treated the boy well. During services, he was assigned to serve as a minister. For diligence, they were allowed to play sports. Danny played basketball and baseball well. Moving to a high Catholic school where the Italian children of mafia members studied, Danny began to fight often. In his heart, hostility towards the Italians formed, which he will carry through his whole life. Due to frequent conflicts, the boy was transferred to a secondary Catholic school in another district.. Danny did not stop playing sports. But here he was harassed by bullying from classmates. Later, recognizing a teenager's mental retardation, they are expelled from school.
Military service
At age 18, Danny Green was called to serve in the US Armed Forces. He ends up in North Carolina, in the Marine Corps. The behavior for the soldier left much to be desired, but he was not transferred to another military base, since the young man had excellent skills in bullet shooting. In the future, the soldier even received a promotion - he becomes a shooting instructor. Back in the Army, he learned to use explosives. After serving 2 years, he was transferred to the reserve with honor and dignity.
Gangster career
Loader President
In the late 50s, Green got a job as a loader in the docks of Cleveland's hometown, where ships were accepted for unloading and loading. Already working, he joined the union of the International Association of Loaders (IAH). When the president of the MAG was removed from office, Danny Green was chosen as the interim president. The next election, Danny wins and becomes president. He really cared about the working conditions of the workers, but he was strict with loafers and drunks. The new leader raised contributions by 25% and forced workers to help the construction fund to carry out "volunteer hours."
Working as a union leader, Green constantly had problems with the law: embezzlement of funds, falsification of trade union reports and other actions detrimental to the organization. He was kicked out of the MAG, given a suspended sentence and a fine of $ 10, 000. But since he was already recruited as an FBI agent-informant, he did not serve a jail sentence, did not pay a penny of a fine. Thus, from his position, he even benefited. Everyone in the city knew perfectly well that he was an informant, but Danny Green was not an informer in every sense of the word. I never gave my own.
Founder of the group
It was at this time that Danny Green was plunged into the swamp of deadly crime. He became involved in racketeering and began to compete with the local Italian-American "families" of the mafia. Green creates his own group, the Celtic Club. The Irishman led most of the criminal operations of the city of Cleveland in the 70s of the last century. The racketeer traded bombs and escaped death many times. Now Danny Green from Cleveland was a formidable force that everyone had to reckon with. The city itself became known as the "Bomb Capital of America." Wars were fought for the control of the empire of vending machines, over profitable criminal operations. Police found evidence of Green’s involvement in the killings, but never blamed the Irish.
The Godfather worked as a hitman and explosives expert, James Sterling. In just 1 year, 1976, there were about 40 car explosions in the city of Cleveland. Not only Green blew up, but killers were sent to the Irish, but they were all dead. In May 1975, Danny Green's house was blown up. He survived by hiding in the refrigerator. Once in his car, he discovered an explosive device. It was installed incorrectly, and therefore did not work. Having disassembled the bomb, he attached it to the car of his sworn enemy, Shondor Byrnes. The explosion did not have to wait.
One of the country's most influential mobsters, Frank Brancato, used Green as a muscle in the garbage collection business and other racketeering. Thanks to the Irishman, Brancato monopolized and controlled almost all the garbage collection companies in the city.
In October 1977, an Irishman left the dentist and was about to leave, the explosion thundered, the Irishman died.
