Daria Andreevna was born on June 22, 1993 in Irkutsk. From birth, the girl began to show interest in sports. She studied in the local children's sports society. At first, little Dasha did not stand out against the general background among her peers. On the contrary, it was considered unpromising.
But the girl did not give up and laid out in training. This aspiration allowed her at the age of eight to fall under the care of a very gifted teacher and trainer Olga Buyanova. It was she who insisted that Daria take her classes in rhythmic gymnastics seriously.
After several successful performances at Russian competitions, the head coach of the Russian national team Irina Viner drew attention to Dmitriev. This was followed by the invitation of the athlete to Moscow and her speedy move. Moreover, together with Daria, the first coach of the girl went to the capital. At that time, Dmitrieva was already almost 14 years old.
A year later, Daria began to successfully compete in international competitions. First, she won the European Championships. Then Dmitrieva, along with other gymnasts, became the world champion.
