Instruction manual
1
Greenpeace is a charitable organization that protects the environment, does not obey the government of any country and takes money only from individuals or charitable foundations, not wanting to have political parties and governments of different countries as sponsors. By this Greenpeace wants to maintain its independence and objectivity, not fall under the influence of political figures and conduct its activities based on its own principles and plans.
2
The mission of Greenpeace is to educate the population of different countries about the main natural wealth of planet Earth, its resources and beauties. Greenpeace activists are trying to convey to people the need for a careful attitude to the resources of the planet, convincing governments of different countries to stop the activities that are dangerous for nature: air pollution, waste dumping into the ocean, nuclear tests, destruction of the ozone layer, overfishing and shooting of wild animals, deforestation forests, whaling.
3
Greenpeace uses different methods to achieve its goals: peaceful protests, scientific research on environmental issues, education of the population of regions and countries. In extreme cases, Greenpeace activists even try to prevent acts of aggression against nature: they cover themselves with whales, protect squirrels - baby seals, preventing them from destroying these valuable animals, and prevent industrial vessels from dumping waste barrels into the sea.
4
In addition, Greenpeace is famous for its global stocks, which often last for several years. After all, if the problem is very great, for example, ocean pollution, nuclear testing in different parts of the world, global warming, it requires a serious approach. Then Greenpeace research centers study the problem to understand how to solve it in the best way, and the activists try to convey to the governments of different countries what needs to be done to save the planet from pollution together.
5
Besides the fact that Greenpeace draws attention to the problem and finds ways to solve it, this organization follows its principles in any ongoing campaign. And its main principle is non-violent influence. No matter how much pressure is put on its representatives and no matter what measures are taken against them, Greenpeace activists will never respond with aggression. Therefore, authorities accusing Greenpeace of violent acts usually want to put themselves in a better light, eliminating activists from natural sites that they have to defend.
