How it all began
The word "art" today has a somewhat pathosy, fashionable connotation, which misleads inexperienced intellectuals. This is due to the fact that many representatives of "pseudo-art" demonstrate their work, calling it "art".
Meanwhile, it is worth noting that art parties and art shows have appeared a long time ago. Only earlier, these phenomena had other names, namely Bohemia, modern intelligentsia, literary evenings, etc.
Well this phenomenon demonstrates the 20th century. Few people liked the activities of the futurists at that time, but their communities, from the modern point of view, can be called art hangouts, and art show performances (just remember Mayakovsky).
The word "art" began to be used in the USSR, when informal art began to emerge little by little. So representatives of this direction challenged the public using a foreign word.
Art party
The word "party" has a frivolous meaning and means a companionable gathering for the exchange of views and various discussions. It is not surprising that this very word began to be combined with modern art. Real contemporary art is a challenge to everyday life and the replacement of established norms with informality.
An art party in the modern sense can have several meanings. In general, because of these several meanings, there is general confusion, since it is not clear what exactly to call an art party.
In a broad sense, all active figures of contemporary art, who not only engage in creativity, but also take part in special projects, belong to the art gathering.
In turn, the projects themselves are also sometimes called art hangouts. The key project in Russia, laid down in 1996, is considered to be Art-Moscow. The project is an annual fair of contemporary art, which gives an opportunity to be realized by new talented figures.
However, it would be more correct to dwell on the understanding of art hangouts as a layer of society that is engaged in contemporary art.
Art show
The art show is interpreted by modern dictionaries as a very vivid artistic performance. But even this concept is already outdated. Sure, the art show has these performances, including, but at the moment this concept has expanded.
COSMOSCOW in Moscow has always been considered an ordinary fair, but the organizers at one of the press conferences called their project an art show. Subsequently, all other exhibitions began to be called art shows.
This means that modernity puts its meaning into the concept. An art show is any presentation and visible representation of art to society.
