In the modern world, spirituality is far from the first place among life's needs. Value disorientation gradually leads to the degeneration of spiritual goods, by which different concepts are meant in each sphere of human life.
Instruction manual
1
For many, spirituality is associated only with religiosity, although it is in demand in other areas of social life: psychology, philosophy, cultural studies, pedagogy, and even political science. This is the core that supports each of these areas individually and society as a whole.
2
In religion, spirituality is seen as the presence of the Holy Spirit in a person. The more a person approaches God, the deeper the spiritual life becomes. But what if a person is unbeliever? Is he soulless? Of course not. Just his morality is measured in other quantities. For example, a craving for the heights of culture and self-improvement. Often, people of art are even given “spiritual status”. But every year, creativity becomes more and more popularized, which leads to the loss of its true purpose - to touch the best strings of the human soul.
3
The existence of man would be impossible without three main values: truth, beauty and goodness. It is they who make up the formula of spirituality, through which a person is aware of the world around him and forms his attitude to it. With its help, a person comprehends his destiny and meaning in life. Now these values are fading into the background. Increasingly, the concept of "degradation of society" is used, which is addressed to the younger generation. If moral standards were instilled in people who grew up in the Soviet era from childhood, then their children were given complete freedom in these matters.
4
In our century, less attention is paid to improving education. From the process of the formation of moral culture, the emphasis has shifted to the result of training. Education is seen as a formality, and not as a source of personal spiritual growth.
5
Modern youth is increasingly turning to fiction, designed to instill feelings, develop creative activity and understand life. A classic culture is replacing the classics, the task of which is rather to entertain, rather than contribute to the formation of independent thinking.
6
The family ceases to be a standard of upbringing, and the statistics of divorces only confirms this. Money becomes the main component of success, crowding out love, kindness and caring. In a world where individualism rules, people simply lack mutual understanding and mutual support. Personal growth was more important than activities for the benefit of one's neighbor.
7
Spirituality reflects the richness of the inner world and the degree of perfection of the individual. An objective assessment of one’s spiritual life can only be given by a person, guided by conscience and consent with oneself. Spirituality needs to be developed by strengthening an active life position, the desire for self-knowledge and the desire to make this world a little better.
