The American science fiction series "V" ("Visitors") was released on Russian television in 2011. In 2012, the second season of the series was shown, which ended with a kind of culmination - the death of one of the main characters. Despite the fact that the ratings of the series were very high and the audience was waiting for the continuation of the story, the issuing television channel ABC decided to close the project. As it turned out, this decision was still not final.
Fear Danians bringing gifts!
The plot of the series is built in the best traditions of the genre - aliens arrive on Earth and offer generous gifts. Earthlings joyfully agree, because the technology of aliens who call themselves Visitors is much superior to earthly ones: omnipotent medical care, inexhaustible sources of energy, wonderful technologies that make life easier for ordinary people.
All aliens are amazingly beautiful, polite and declare that "they go in peace - always."
However, as expected, monstrous monsters hide under the mask of cloned human skin. The civilization of predatory reptiles travels from planet to planet in search of new genetic material to improve their race. The Earth has long attracted the attention of Visitors, and they introduced their agents into human society to prepare the invasion.
During the agents' work, the DNA code was changed for many people in order to prepare them for connection with the race of conquerors, and after the arrival of the ship of Queen Anne's visitors, such a change becomes widespread.
Following the usual development of the plot, not all earthlings unconditionally believed alien donors. The Fifth Column resistance group aims to first identify and destroy the infiltrated agents, and then to prevent the Visitors from taking over the Earth.
By the end of the second season, the confrontation between the Visitors and the Fifth Column reaches its climax, and a huge fleet of aliens is ready to wipe humanity from the face of the Earth.
Familiar faces
Solidly shot classic science fiction about the struggle of earthlings with alien invaders could not help attracting the attention of the audience. Favorite actors on other projects also contributed to the popularity of the series.
