Elena Sergeevna Bondarchuk was born on July 31, 1962 in the Soviet Union, in the Moscow Region in a family of famous and creative people. Father Sergei Fedorovich Bondarchuk, a Ukrainian by birth, was a famous director and screenwriter of Soviet cinema. The mother of the actress, the beautiful Irina Konstantinovna Skobtseva, was a honored artist of theater and cinema. Elena spent all her childhood with her grandmother and only occasionally saw her celebrity eminent parents. Despite this, the girl experienced deep respect and great love for them.
Theater life
After graduating from school, the girl absolutely decided to enter the acting department. In 1979, she became a student of a higher educational institution of theatrical art at the Moscow Art Theater. Thanks to her father, Elena began acting in films during her studies, but after getting an education she got a job at the Pushkin Moscow Drama Theater.
After working on the stage of the Pushkin Theater for four years, the young actress changed her collective, joining the troupe of the State Academic Theater. Having played in several performances staged based on the works of famous Soviet and foreign writers, she becomes the brightest star on the theatrical stage, winning the hearts of millions of fans. Without leaving the theatrical stage, the sought-after actress continues to act in films and TV shows. In 1993, Elena Bondarchuk ceases her creative activity and leaves Russia, moving to live in Europe, in the Swiss city of Basel.
