Fans of Indian cinema know the acting dynasty Deol well, among which one of its representatives - Bobby Deol - stands out. For his work, he was repeatedly awarded prestigious national awards. The genres in which he proved himself particularly successful are action films, thrillers and comedies.
Biography
The real name of the actor is Vijay Singh Deol. He was born in 1967 in Bombay, the second after his brother. His father at that time starred in the film "Zita and Gita", which has already become a classic of Indian cinema, and in other popular films. Mom was in the house.
As a child, Bobby experienced stress due to the fact that his father almost left the family. His heart was won by the beautiful actress Hema Malini, and he decided to divorce his first wife. However, the Brahmanic Council allowed him to remarry without divorce.
So the father stayed with the boys and often took them with him to the set. They starred in extras, and they really liked it.
When Bobby was ten years old, he was invited to play the boy in the movie "The Eternal Tale of Love." However, then he still did not understand whether he wanted to become an actor.
Actor's career
Only in 1995 did he play a significant role in the film "Rainy Season", for which he received an award as the best debutant of the year. And already in 1997, Deol began to appear in multi-genre films: he played in the thriller "The Phantom Menace", in the melodrama "The Pretender in Love". By the way, the famous Aishwarya Rai debuted in this film. This genre did not appeal to the actor, and he again began to accept offers to star in action films.
Indian cinema is mostly a family cinema, if we talk about production and film business. Therefore, when in the late nineties, the elder brother of the actor Sunny Deol became a director, Bobby happily starred in his film “Fascinated by You”. The picture did not receive recognition from the public and remained in the history of cinema only as the first joint work of the next generation of Deols.
After this, Bobby begins to pursue failure - he does not get used to the role in the film "Scorpio", the audience does not accept the political tape "Killer involuntarily", he was accused of a bad game in the film "Cunning Stranger".
That was until 2002, when the actor starred in the film "The Dream of a Scam", where Bobby created the image of a wealthy businessman. Finally, critics admitted that the actor’s skill has grown significantly. Deol sought to rehabilitate himself, and, fortunately, he only came across successful projects. For example, the paintings "Friends Forever", "Jackalac Boom Boom" and others.
Also, together with his father and older brother Sunny, he starred in the sports drama "Relatives", which was a great success with viewers and critics.
The actor’s life is unpredictable, and his success depends not only on personal qualities - you still need good material. And so Bobby, after a series of successful projects in 2008-2011, again fails on the set.
This was especially unpleasant, because the paintings "Close Friends" and "Heroes" put Bobby on the list of top Bollywood actors.
For several years, Deol disappeared from the screens, but then again found the strength in himself and returned to his beloved profession. One of the successful films was the picture "Race", after which the audience wrote in reviews that Deol at fifty years old looks better than at thirty.
