Biography
Gennady Khazanov was born in 1945 in post-war Moscow. He was raised by his mother, Iraida Moiseevna, who worked as an engineer, but in her free time playing on the stage of one of the amateur theaters of the capital. All of Gennady’s childhood passed behind the scenes of the institution where his mother played. He was not just carried away by the stage, but also at school age he began to skillfully parody classmates and teachers. The future artist enthusiastically watched the performances of his idol Arkady Raikin and once even managed to get to know and chat with him. The comedian quickly found a common language with the teenager and invited him to attend his concerts for free.
