Bastian Schweinsteiger is certainly a world-class value. World Cup champion in the German national team, silver European Championships, many club and personal achievements. Today, Bastian is the most titled German in the history of German sports.
Biography
Not far from the border, in southern Germany, in the small town of Kolbermor, on August 1, 1984 Bastian Schweinsteiger was born. From an early age he had an irresistible craving for sports, but despite the prevailing stereotypes about Germany and football, young Bastian achieved success in another sport - he chose skiing.
In preschool, he even won several children's competitions. Despite the obvious successes, he quickly cooled to skiing and simply stopped doing it. And soon, thanks to the advice of his older brother, he quickly found himself a new occupation - he began to get involved in football. Schweini comprehended the basics of the most popular sport at the Rosenheim Academy in 1860, a club from the Bavarian region.
Career
As usual with future stars, the breeders of the top club drew attention to the talented youth. In the case of Bastian, it was Bayern. Before gaining a foothold in the main team, Schweinsteiger played 34 double games, the second team, which is the Bavarian farm club and plays in the regional championship. Since 2002, Schwein has been giving a chance to show himself as a basis and he periodically goes on the field. This yielded results and in 2004 he became a player on the main team.
In total, the famous Basti held 500 games as part of the German grand, in which he scored 68 times for taking the opponent’s goal. Eight times became the champion of Germany, won 7 cups of the country, the German also has 2 German super cups and the coveted trophy of all European football players - the Champions League cup.
Despite all the devotion to Bayern, the titled German in 2015 decides to go to foggy Albion, where he signs a contract with Manchester United. Unfortunately, this period in the life of Schweini is becoming the most unsuccessful.
The fact is that at the time of signing the head coach of “Manchester United” was Louis Van Gal, but due to poor results he was quickly replaced by the odious Jose Mourinho. Bastian’s talent was not useful to the new coach in his schemes of the game and he decided to send him to the reserve. In a word, Bastian Schweinsteiger got into the club in the midst of change - and this is always hard work, a difficult time for both the coach and the players.
It was a blow not only to the level of the game, but also to the prestige of the famous German. But despite this, Schweinsteiger hoped and was waiting for a chance to prove himself for one of the best clubs in England. Mourinho did not give such a chance to the German and he, at the end of the existing contract, like most of the top European players, went to conquer the United States.
In March 2017, the Chicago Fire Club from MLS announced an agreement with Bastian. Two weeks after signing, in the debut match, Schweini opened an account with his goals for Chicago. In this club, he performs to this day. In January 2018, Bastian extended his contract with the Chicago Fire for another season.
In the same year, on August 28, he played a farewell match at the Bavarian stadium. The home team played with the Chicago Fire. The hero of the occasion played half-time for both teams and scored a goal for Bayern in the second half of the meeting. The game ended with a crushing score of 4-0 in favor of the Munich team. The match was more entertaining in nature, on his return to the United States, Schweinsteiger continued to perform in the MLS for “Chicago”.
National team
Bastian began playing for the national team in 2004, however, he was able to score goals only a year later, in a friendly game against the Russian team. As part of the national team, he became the bronze medalist of the Confederations Cup in 2005, twice the bronze medalist of the World Cup in 2006 and 2010, and also has the bronze medal of the European Championship 2012.
In 2014, at the World Cup in Brazil, sensationally defeating the hosts of the tournament 7-1 in the semifinals, the Germans reached the final, in which they won the Argentine national team in extra time. So Bastian in the German national team became the world football champion. He finished his appearances for the national team in 2016, and made a statement about it on Twitter, a little later after the coach of “MU” transferred him to the youth team.
