Childhood and family
Mikhail Barshchevsky was born in 1955 in Moscow. He is a fourth generation lawyer. His great-grandfather, Yakov Davydovich Barshchevsky, worked as a lawyer in Kharkov. Grandmother Tatyana Yakovlevna was the deputy prosecutor of Moscow. My father was an investigator in the prosecutor's office, then worked as a legal adviser.
Education
Young Misha studied at an English special school, however, he did not show any particular success in teaching. But in such a family it was impossible "not to become a decent person", so after school Michael entered the Law Institute.
In 1982, Mikhail Barshchevsky defended his thesis and went to practice in foreign companies.
Legal activity
Barschevsky began his legal career at the margarine plant. After graduation, where Mikhail studied in absentia, he became a member of the Moscow College of Lawyers. The young Barshchevsky honed his lawyer skills, taking up deliberately losing cases, which other lawyers refused. So he filled his hand and learned to cope with difficulties.
In the summer of 1990, Mikhail Barshchevsiky opened the first private law firm in Russia, which is now called Barshchevsky and Partners.
In 2001, Barshchevsky refused the status of a lawyer and went to work in the Government of Russia. In fact, he now defends with the Constitutional Court the highest executive body. Michael has the status of State Advisor of the first class.
Hobby
Mikhail Barshchevsky is fond of playing “What? Where? When?”. For many years he was the keeper of traditions, protecting the interests of experts. Only recently, Mikhail sat at the table as a connoisseur, and his team won with a score of 6: 4. The Barshchevsky team included Vladimir Verkhoshinsky, Grigory Guselnikov, Sergey Novikov and two club guests.
