One of these talents has been revealed recently - this is the Russian loner Anna Stanislavovna Shcherbakova. True, her patronymic is not yet called because of her age, but she definitely deserved the honor and respect she herself. It was she who was the first among the adult skaters to perform the quadruple lutz during the competition organized by the International Skating Union. And also for the first time in the history of Russian sports she performed two quadruple lutz in one program.
Biography
The future skater was born in Moscow in 2004. Everyone in her family loved figure skating, though this love was expressed only in the concern for Russian athletes when they performed at prestigious competitions. Looking proudly at how the Russian flag rises at championships of various ranks in honor of the victories of our skaters, Ani's parents did not suspect that someday their daughter would also stand on the podium.
However, when she was only three and a half years old, her mother brought her to the Khrustalny skating rink, where at that time the pupils of the youth sports school were engaged. Of course, at that time it was difficult to talk about any successes and talents, but the girl grew up, began to ride confidently, and then began to show her first good results.
With her first coaches, Yulia Alexandrovna Krasinskaya and Oksana Mikhailovna Bulycheva, Anya studied until the sports school was an independent unit. And when she became an integral part of the Sambo-70 Sports and Education Center system, she had another coach - the famous teacher Eteri Tutberidze.
Anya is still working with Eteri Georgievna, whom she considers to be a very fair coach, kind and moderately strict - so much as to maintain the discipline of her students, who still have a slightly different life than their peers. Shcherbakova also responds with great warmth to coach Sergei Dudakov and choreographer Daniil Gleichenhaus. She perfectly understands that without the support of all who make numbers for her, she could not have done what she is doing now.

Eteri Georgievna created such a work team in which there is an almost family atmosphere. She constantly says that older comrades should replace younger parents, because many rarely see their closest people.
Figure skating
Gradually, Anya Shcherbakova reached the level where she could be sent to important competitions. And in 2012, her debut took place: the Open Championship of the city of Moscow, where you could earn the prize of the President of the Figure Skating Federation. This time, the eight-year-old skater lacked the experience and courage, and she was in twenty-second place among twenty-nine participants.
And then the real sporting nature of the girl showed up: she did not worry, but accepted everything as an experience. Of course, older and more experienced skaters and coaches helped, but Anya herself withstood this defeat.
And now, after a season, she showed a truly victorious result: the judges of the Memorial S.A. Beetle awarded her second place. This victory was especially important then, because Anya even surpassed the rising figure skating star Alexander Trusov.
In 2015, she was again sent to the tournament: it was “Crystal Horse”, and Shcherbakova brought bronze to her school.
The season 2015-2016 became rich for bronze medals for Ani: she received them during the Open Cup of the Moscow Figure Skating Federation, as well as the S. Volkov Memorial. Championship of Moscow among young men and women of Shcherbakov also successfully completed, having won bronze.
And this meant that she was selected for the national championship.
Since then, Shcherbakova began to storm a variety of standings, and she has many victories. In the fall of 2016, when there were stages of the Cup of Russia, she won the tournament twice. And thereby she confirmed the category of candidate for master of sports. For her, it was a great achievement and great joy.
However, athletes often have a “striped” life, and after a success a series of defeats may come. This happened with Ani: after the Cup in 2017, she was only the eighth.
And then again success: in 2017, two silver medals after the Volkov Memorial and the Moscow Open Tournament. And the championship of Russia brought her second place.
And fortune turned her back to Ana again: she was injured. The fact is that the choreographer Daniil Gleichengauz decided to introduce four turns into the performances of young athletes. And at first everything went smoothly for them: Alexandra Trusova managed the quadruple salchow, and Anna Shcherbakova the sheepskin coat. She also learned a cascade of quadruple and triple sheepskin coats, and quite successfully. The coach and the choreographer were unanimous in their opinion that it is quite possible to include multi-turn jumps in the free skate program of each skater.

All training programs were filmed and sent to the Youtube channel. It was evident from them that the performance of these difficult jumps in girls was rather stable. However, the injury could not be avoided: during an attempt to make a cascade with a triple jump, Anya was injured.
True, she quickly returned to training, and in January 2017 she took second place in the Moscow Cup.
In 2018, Anna took first place in the final of the Cup of Russia, in 2019 she became the champion of Russia.
