Biography
Andrey Kotov was born in the city of Sverdlovsk. This happened in April 1963. His mother worked as an accountant in a factory, his father was an excellent locksmith. Husband and wife took Andrei to sambo, boxing, a radio club, and an art school. The family was not against the boy’s yachting. Here he studied as part of the "Caravel" detachment.
Andrei Kotov graduated from 8th grade, then entered the assembly college.
As a child, he was very fond of playing Indians, like his peers. The child's father helped him make metal arrowheads. But once it almost ended in disaster.
One hooligan offended someone in their yard, Andrei decided to intercede and shot an arrow from the bow at this man. Good thing he missed. The steel tip pierced the drainpipe. Then the boy realized how this could end, and since then he never shot from a bow at people - only at fences.
Andrei Kotov recalls that after graduating from college he went to work at the factory. Here he decided to make a knife out of durable steel. When it remained only to make a handle, he put the metal blank in his pocket, grabbed five more penknives that he made at this enterprise.
In this form, the young man went to dance. Then another mess started, Andrei, along with other guys, was taken to the police until clarification. When the law enforcers took out the contents of his pockets, they saw how many knives there were.
Andrei, having spent time near dubious elements in this police station, decided for himself that he wouldn’t follow the curve path. He did not like this criminal world at all.
Music
But Andrei Kotov sang and played the guitar with pleasure. At first he played music in the courtyard, performing romantic songs that were popular at that time: "Generals of the sand quarries", "Where the maple is noisy, " Paul Moriah melodies.
Andrei had a friend a guitar player. Kotov helped this guy enter the music school. The duet of these artists presented the composition on the guitar and drums. At the end of the speech, the head of the pop department approached Kotov and asked why he didn’t do it himself. Then Andrei Nikolaevich decided to fill this gap. He was taken immediately to the second year.
But then there was the army, after which he thoroughly forgot what he already knew poorly - musical notation, the basics of drumming.
