Starting conditions
Swimming is not an easy sport. A swim in the lake or pool is always a pleasure. Water enthusiasts will agree with this statement. However, only trained people can participate in the competition. Andrei Mikhailovich Efimov - a well-known trainer in the Russian Federation. At a certain stage of his development, he was actively involved in water sports. He played water polo and competed in freestyle speed swimming. He could not achieve decent results, but the situation in the coaching field was not bad.
The future coach was born on December 2, 1960 in a working class family. At that time, parents lived in the famous city of Grozny. My father worked at a refinery. Mother taught the basics of physical education at a local pedagogical institute. The boy spent his free time among peers on the street. The children’s favorite pastime was swimming in a reservoir, which was formed near the thermal power plant. We also went to the river Sunzha, but only those who knew how to swim well bathed in it. Andrei was already swimming perfectly in preschool age.

Coaching career
After school, Andrei was drafted into the armed forces. The place of service determined the sports company of the North Caucasus Military District. After returning to a civilian, Efimov was educated at the physical education department of the local pedagogical institute. With a diploma, "a physical education teacher" began teaching at the youth school of the Olympic reserve. When riots broke out in Grozny in the early 1990s, Efimov and his family moved to Volgodonsk. Here he was taken by a coach to the city swimming section. By that time, his daughter Julia had grown up, who began to actively engage in swimming.
A serious turn in the coaching career of Efimov occurred in 2006. By this time, his pupil and natural daughter became a member of the junior team of Russia. A year later, she was transferred to a team of adult swimmers. Andrey Mikhailovich worked as an individual trainer for a talented swimmer for several years. Her successes were truly unique. Julia twice became the world champion and once took third place at the Olympics in London. Efimov made up a special training schedule for her.
