Alexey Polevoy was born on July 7, 1921 in the city of Moscow. He grew up in a theatrical family and from early childhood knew and loved the stage. In 1937 he graduated from Moscow comprehensive school No. 323.
Creative way
Alexei Leonidovich devoted his whole life to the theater. From the age of 14 he was engaged in an amateur drama studio at the Goznak factory.
From 16 to 17 years he served as an artist of the Yaroslavl Theater of Young Spectators. From 17 to 20 years old - artist and assistant director of the Moscow Drama Theater under the direction of F.N. Kaverina. At the same time, he graduated from directing courses.
Career developed in an ascending line. Field served in various theaters in Moscow:
1941-43 - Moscow Theater of Satire;
1943-44 - State Theater of Variety and Miniatures;
1944-60 - Artist and director of the Central Theater of Transport;
1960-61 - Director of the Moscow Regional Drama Theater;
1961-62 - Artist of the State Academic Maly Theater of the USSR;
Since 1962, Alexei Leonidovich worked as chief director. His productions were distinguished by good humor and delicate taste.
1962-63 - Theater "Baby" at the Central House of Arts (Central House of Artists in Moscow);
1963-65 - Created and became the head of the famous satirical ensemble "Layout and Editing" at the All-Russian State Touring and Concert Association;
07/07/63 - 11.1963 - chief director of VGKO;
1964-65 - Director of the department of satire and humor of VGKO.
1965-68 - Artistic director of the artistic word workshop "Mosconcert".
He made an invaluable contribution to the organization of new numbers and gave a ticket "to life" to many artists of the conversational genre.
1970-72 - Director of "Rosconcert".
