The first international success came in 2012. The youth team of Russia, which included Stolyar, won silver medals. Three years later, at the next Universiade, held in South Korea, the Russians took bronze. In 2017, at the World Cup in the French city of Nantes, the Russian team took first place. This was the first basketball championship in a 3x3 game. After the competition, the International Olympic Committee included this sport in the program of the Olympic Games 2020.
